Activity day this Saturday

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B83U1_TIAAIoLmX.jpg This Saturday come and join us for a day of activities on the Aylesbury Estate.

Here’s the agenda so far, to be updated with more details as they come …
** Through the day: working on the building, decorating, preparing for action and resistance … ** Football (if people want to come down and play — details to be confirmed).

** 11AM: Leafletting the local East Street market area – meet outside Morrisons in Walworth Road from 11am onwards.
**12 Noon: Practical barricading skillshare. Come and learn how to make barricades, or share and hone your fortification skills, while helping defend the occupation.
** 2PM: teach-in about the history and politics of regeneration in Southwark, a chance to find out more about the Aylesbury from those who have been fighting to save their homes here, and about the dodgy deals Southwark have made with developers elsewhere
** 3PM: Meet at Chartridge House to go leafleting and petitioning. There are still plenty of residents spread out across the entire estate, and we want to try to speak to as many of them as possible!
** 5PM: talk and discussion with friends from the “Poor Doors” campaign against the rich taking over in Whitechapel
** 6PM: talk and discussion with legendary London anarchist and anti-fascist Martin Wright on ‘Anarchy in the UK: why isn’t there any and how can we make it happen?’
** 7.30 PM: Acoustic jam session: hip-hop, folk, spoken word “open mic”. Come and join in. (NB.: please respect our neighbours, and yes we still have a few in the flats around Chartridge House).

And then on Sunday,

as well as an intensive four-hour flat-cleaning session from 12-4pm,

our friends at “Brick Lane Debates” are organising this big public debate:
